About Us

Hindus for Labour aims to connect The Labour party to the British Hindu community. We are officially approved to the Labour Party in the United Kingdom which is a democratic socialist party. We also believe that by the strength of our common endeavour we achieve more than we achieve alone, so as to create for each of us the means to realise our true potential and for all of us a community in which power, wealth and opportunities are in the hands of the many not the few, where the rights we enjoy reflect the duties we owe, and where we live together, freely, in a spirit of solidarity, tolerance and respect.

Three important issues for British Hindu Community

Anti-Hinduism-The British Hindus are proud to live with other communities as good friends and neighbours based on shared British values of mutual respect and tolerance. They are concerned about the rise of Anti Hinduism in the UK and seek to make Anti-Hinduism unlawful under UK law.

Kashmir– The British south Asian communities have been living as good friends and neighbours. Hindus for Labour appeals for peace in Kashmir and recommends the British foreign office to appeal to both India & Pakistan to resolve this dispute bilaterally by resuming the peace talks.

International development- The Hindus for Labour community is appalled by the budgetary cuts introduced in the international development sector from 0.7% to 0.5% of the GDP. We appeal to the future Labour Government to reverse the cuts to 0.7% of GDP.
