Dr. Neeraj Patil (Chair)

Dr Neeraj Patil is a Consultant in Accident & Emergency medicine who has served in the NHS for the last 25 years. He holds two post graduate qualifications from the prestigious Royal college of Surgeons of Edinburgh and is a great admirer of Aneurin Bevan. Dr Patil fought hard to save the Emergency Department in Worthing and also served as Foundation Governor for Guy’s and ST Thomas Hospital & Kings college hospital.

Dr Patil served as a Lambeth councillor from 2006-2014 and was the Mayor of London Borough of Lambeth in 2010-2011. Dr Patil is widely admired by British Hindu’s for was building the statue of a Hindu philosopher and pioneer of world’s largest democracy Lord Basaveshwara on the bank of River Thames, opposite the British Parliament.

Cllr Ellily Ponnuthurai

Cllr Ellily Ponnuthurai is a Labour Councillor in the London Borough of Croydon, having been elected twice to serve on Croydon Council. She is also a member of the Housing Assurance Board, where she contributes to improving housing services and ensuring greater accountability for residents. She has campaigned extensively during both Local and General Elections and was a leading campaigner in the 2026 Croydon Mayoral Election, demonstrating her strong commitment to the Labour Party and grassroots campaigning. Cllr Ponnuthurai is actively engaged in promoting community cohesion across the London Borough of Croydon and is passionate about increasing the availability of affordable housing and creating sustainable, inclusive communities. She is highly respected within the British Indian community in Croydon and has been a strong voice for the Tamil community within the Labour Party, working to ensure greater representation, engagement, and inclusion.

Mrs Gurminder Randhawa

Mrs Gurminder Randhawa has been an active member of the Labour Party, campaigning extensively during both General and Local Elections. She had the privilege of being selected as a Labour councillor candidate in Hounslow and has played an active role during the local elections in May 2026.
She is a highly respected member of the British Indian community and has hosted numerous events and gatherings for dignitaries from the Government of India during their visits to the United Kingdom.
Alongside her political involvement, Mrs Randhawa has organised and participated in a wide range of community initiatives focused on women’s empowerment, health and wellbeing through community walks, cultural engagement, and bringing people from diverse backgrounds together to strengthen community cohesion.
She is passionate about promoting Labour values and is committed to strengthening the relationship between the Labour Party and Indian communities through meaningful engagement, inclusion, and community participation.

Mrs Suneetha Giridhar

Suneetha Giridhar is the BAME Officer for Dartford CLP and an active, longstanding member of the Labour Party. She has campaigned extensively during both local and general elections and has also contested as a Labour candidate for Dartford Borough Council.
She has played an active role in engaging with and supporting diverse communities and is a highly respected member of the British Telugu community. Suneetha has organised International Day of Yoga celebrations at the Palace of Westminster and continues to promote health, wellbeing, and cultural awareness within the British Hindu community. Through her work, she brings together people from diverse backgrounds, fostering mutual understanding, inclusion, and community cohesion.

Mr. Kanti Patel(Executive Committee)

Mr Kanti Patel has been a Labour activist for 40 years and has extensive experience of campaigning and canvassing for the Labour party in Lambeth. He has served as school Governor for upper Tulse hill primary school. Mr Kanti Patel has good experience in business & enterprise and ran a community enterprise in Lambeth and is practising Hindu.

Mr. Appu Damodaran (Executive Committee)

Appu Dhamadoran is currently the secretary of Croydon North CLP with extensive experience of campaigning for the Labour party in Croydon. He is an entrepreneur who is passionate of creating jobs for the youth in Croydon.

Councillor Helen Adkins (Executive Committee)
Former Councillor  

Cllr Helen Adkins was the Leader of the Labour party in Warwickshire Council & is currently doing a PhD in Advaita Hindu Philosophy. She has also served as a Councillor for three years and has deep understanding of local Government and local Government finance.

She is a very reputed voice over artist in the UK with extensive experience of campaigning for the Labour party in the Midlands. She graduated from Birmingham University and her subjects were politics, religion and philosophy. She has worked as a teacher in Warwickshire college and Warwick university for 18 years.

She is married with two teenage children. Helen strongly believes that an alternative solution to the problem and suffering of the Western world can be resolved by special focus on Advaita philosophy of Shri Shankaracharya.

Mr. Mirji Ranjanath

Mr. Mirji Ranjanath is an IT Consultant and BAME officer in Amersham and Chesham CLP. He has extensively campaigned for the Labour Party during the 2010 Parliamentary elections and is a community champion within the British Hindu Community. He was selected as a candidate for the county council elections in 2021.

Mr. Abhi Salimath

Mr. Abhi Salimath is an Cyber Crime Consultant and Executive committee member of The Lambeth Basaveshwara Foundation. He has extensively campaigned for the Labour Party and a well know community member. He Possesses exceptional interpersonal and communication skills used to great effect in developing strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and key business stakeholders alike.

Mr. Ajith Das

Ajith Das is an Operations specialist and engineering consultant experienced in energy and logistics sector. He is a l activist with extensive experience in campaigning and canvassing in Barnet. He is the LCF delegate from Finchley and Golders Green CLP. Ajith currently serves as a Governor and Chair of Finance committee at the UCL Academy.

Mr. Sivah C Narla

Sivah C Narla is an Aspiring Solicitor at a Renowned Central London University pursuing his degree in Law with Government and Politics. Sivah is quite engaged in British National Politics; he started out as a regular member of Labour Party but has since advanced to the position of Youth Councillor in London, Hertsmere CLP Policy Officer, Chair of Elstree and Borehamwood Labour Party, and Chair of Hindus for Labour, Hertsmere.
